USE GREEN TEA  AND AVOCADO TO FIGHT PROSTATE ENLARGEMENT

Prostate enlargement is scary for men. Its effects may range from blocking urine to turning into cancer. Normal prostate size is 20 - 30 cc. Blockaded urination is a painfully terrible experience. Normally an operation will be required to correct the situation.

Prostate gets enlarged because of a hormone known as dihydrotestosterone. This hormone occurs when testosterone converts to it. Testosterone converts with the aid of an enzyme known as 5-alpha reductase.

Luckily some studies show that antioxidants present in Green Tea and a compound known as beta sitosterol present in avocado helps to neutralize this enzyme.

Are you a man? If so, what are you waiting for?!

DIABETICS NEED TO BE MINDFUL OF THEIR DIET!

If you have diabetes, it means that your body's ability to transport sugar from your bloodstream to your cells is impaired. This impairment causes glucose from metabolized food to accumulate in your blood, which can lead to severe damage to vital organs, including blood vessels and nerves.

Fortunately, researchers have developed many substances that can help metabolize sugar in the blood and prevent dangerous levels of accumulation. While these substances are helpful, it's important to be aware that their capabilities are limited, and sometimes their safety may be questionable. There have been cases of serious harmful effects discovered after years of using certain diabetic drugs.

In my opinion, the best approach for managing diabetes is to be mindful of what you eat. It's important to invest time in learning about various foods and their impact on blood sugar. This task is not difficult considering that researchers have already created an index called the glycemic index, which shows each food's potential to impact blood sugar. The index assigns a numerical value to different foods, indicating how quickly and significantly they can increase blood glucose levels compared to a reference food, usually glucose or white bread, which is given a value of 100.

Foods with a high glycemic index (70 or above) are rapidly digested and absorbed, leading to a swift and significant increase in blood sugar levels. Examples of high-GI foods include white bread, white rice, sugary beverages, and most processed snack foods. On the other hand, foods with a low glycemic index (55 or below) are digested and absorbed more slowly, resulting in a more gradual and moderate increase in blood sugar levels. These foods include most fruits and vegetables, whole grains, legumes, and nuts.

By choosing to eat foods with a low glycemic index, diabetics may be able to reduce their dependence on drugs and potentially avoid any side effects associated with those drugs. Pulses are particularly beneficial as they tend to have a relatively low glycemic index. Some examples of pulses are chickpeas (garbanzo beans), lentils (green, red, brown, or black varieties), kidney beans, black beans, pinto beans, navy beans, split peas (yellow or green), black-eyed peas, mung beans, adzuki beans, lima beans, fava beans, soybeans, cowpeas (black-eyed cowpeas, black-eyed beans, or southern peas), lupin beans, cranberry beans, great northern beans, butter beans, cannellini beans, and azuki beans. Here are the approximate glycemic index values for some common pulses:

1. Chickpeas (Garbanzo beans): GI 28-42
2. Lentils: GI 18-36
3. Kidney beans: GI 24-29
4. Black beans: GI 30-42
5. Pinto beans: GI 39-45
6. Navy beans: GI 31-38
7. Split peas: GI 32-38
8. Mung beans: GI 25-32
9. Adzuki beans: GI 19-35
10. Soybeans: GI 15-18

Different recipes using these low GI foods with proteins and vegetables can be prepared to provide delicious and highly satisfying meals that are also suitable for diabetics.

WHY YOU NEED TO EAT MORE FISH AND OTHER MARINE ORGANISMS

Fish and other marine organisms are rich in omega-3 oils. Health experts suggest that our dietary fat intake should have a ratio of 1 to 3 between omega-3 and omega-6 fats, respectively. Unfortunately, the ratio in most commercially available oils is far from this ideal. On average, most commercial oils contain omega-3 and omega-6 oils in a ratio of 1 to 50!

Omega-6 is not a healthy fat. It is highly inflammatory and can damage cell membranes. On the other hand, omega-3 is very beneficial as it is an important building block for the formation and repair of cell membranes.

One of the best ways to increase our intake of omega-3 oils is by consuming foods that are rich in them. Fish and other marine organisms are excellent sources of these oils. The more omega-3 oils your body receives, the better protection you have against omega-6, resulting in healthier and stronger cells.
